CORU-Registered Speech and Language Therapist
ASHA-Certified Speech-Language Pathologist

Professional Background & Qualifications

I’m a CORU-registered and ASHA-certified Speech and Language Therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting children and families.

I trained in the United States, completing both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, where I graduated summa cum laude. I also hold the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), reflecting advanced clinical training and ongoing professional development.

Being registered to practise in both Ireland and the U.S. allows me to draw on international best practice while providing care that is practical, evidence-based, and responsive to each child and family.

Much of my career has focused on early intervention, supporting toddlers and preschoolers during the years when communication is developing most rapidly. I’ve worked in home, community, and early childhood settings, alongside families navigating uncertainty, waiting lists, and decisions about support.

My Therapy Approach

My approach is child-centred and strengths-based. Sessions are shaped around each child’s interests, personality, and ways of engaging with the world.

Children communicate in many different ways, and all of them are valid. Whether a child uses speech, gestures, signs, pictures, or AAC, my focus is on helping them connect, be understood, and communicate with confidence in ways that feel natural to them.

I support children who may be:

  • late to start talking or using words

  • difficult to understand

  • struggling to express needs, ideas, or emotions

  • finding it hard to interact, play, or communicate with others

  • experiencing feeding or oral motor difficulties

  • using, or benefiting from, AAC or other communication supports

Supporting Families

I understand how frustrating long waiting lists and limited access to one-to-one support can be. Through Aspect Speech Therapy, my aim is to offer timely, responsive care, so children can access support when it matters most — and families feel informed, reassured, and supported along the way.

Working in Ireland

Since relocating to Ireland with my family in 2023, I’ve continued my clinical work through Aspect Speech Therapy and within a non-profit organisation supporting children with developmental and communication needs. This community-based work has reinforced my belief that therapy should be practical, respectful, and meaningful for each child and family.
